I never hear the word “Escape”
Without a quicker blood,
A sudden expectation
A flying attitude!
I never hear of prisons broad
By soldiers battered down,
But I tug childish at my bars

Only to fail again!

– Emily Dickinson

This project comes from the exploration of the city of Urbino, and from the resulting difficulty (almost impossibility) to be able to go beyond the outskirts of this closed (though rich in beauty) and eternal city. My efforts to get out made me get to places in the outskirts of Urbino, but at the same time I realized that this imprisonment becomes a mental condition as well as logistic. In my journey I see nothing but roads barred, desolated insurmountable expanses or closed doors. My attempts are therefore futile.
